The actress shared the news with her fans and followers on social media while publicly endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as her pick for the 2024 US Presidential election.
In a heartfelt post, Moretz, revealed her sexual orientation in an Instagram post that included a picture of a voting sticker that says "I voted early 2024."
"I voted early and I voted for Kamala Harris," Moretz captioned her post. "There is so much on the line this election."

Sharing why she voted for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala, she wrote, "I believe the government has no right over my body as a woman, and that the decisions over my body should come ONLY from myself and my doctor. Kamala Harris will protect that for us."
The actress praised Harris, for her support of the LGBTQIA+ community. "I believe in the need for legal protections that protects the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman," she wrote. "We need protections in this country and to have access to the care we need and deserve."

Chloe turned off her comments soon after making the post.
Moretz’s endorsement of Harris comes shortly after celebrities including Harrison Ford, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson and many other stars came out in support of Harris.
In a black-and-white video released on Saturday, Harrison Ford gave a passionate speech urging Americans to vote for Harris. He said, "When dozens of former members of the Trump administration are sounding alarms, saying, ‘For God’s sake, don’t do this again,’ you have to pay attention. They’re telling us something important. These aren’t soft people. They’re governors, generals, standing up against the leader of the party they spent their lives advocating for."
The 'Indiana Jones' star added, “The truth is this, Kamala Harris will protect your right to disagree with her about policies or ideas, and then, as we have done for centuries, we’ll debate them. We’ll work on them together, and we’ll move forward. The other guy, he demands unquestioning loyalty, says he wants revenge. I’m Harrison Ford. I’ve got one vote — same as anyone else — and I’m going to use it to move forward. I’m going to vote for Kamala Harris.”
