Actor Harrison Ford says with age, his "Star Wars" franchise character Han Solo has become wiser and is still the roguish character people loved in George Lucas' original "Star Wars" trilogy.READ: Harrison Ford opens up about his plane crash In 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm and announced three new Star Wars films, with the first movie,
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, planned for release on December 18, 2015.
The 73-year-old veteran actor, who received worldwide fame for his role as Han Solo in the original epic space opera trilogy, said the growth of the character is consistent and that will be visible in
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, reported Entertainment Weekly.
"No, there's not an abandoning of the character. He does not aspire to the position of Obi-'Ben' Kenobi, nor do I aspire to be some New Age Alec Guinness. His development is consistent with the character, and there are emotional elements, which have occasioned his growth.
"We spend a lot more time (in the movie) on his failure to master basic skills, like accounting. And accounting for his own behaviour. There's a lot of the rogue still left in Solo.
Some things don't change," Ford said.
