Veteran actress
Sabitri Chatterjee was recently suffering from a frozen shoulder. However, she has recuperated now.
“With proper medication and physiotherapy, I am feeling much better. I had no idea this
coronavirus pandemic would affect the world so badly. It is beyond my imagination. We don’t know when we will be able to get back to work. I don’t like this uncertainly. My heart goes out for the daily wage earners.
Also, I miss visiting our studio para,” said the actress.
She added, “I enjoy cooking at times, but chopping vegetables is my forte. I don’t allow anyone to chop vegetables at home, as I believe the taste of any sabzi depends on how one chops the vegetables.”
Recently, the actress watched ‘Mouchak’ and ‘Dhanyee Meye’, wherein she played the female lead. “I love watching old films, especially
Uttam Kumar starrers. I also watch Hindi classics. I was extremely upset when I heard about
Rishi Kapoor’s demise. He was one of my favourite actors,” said the actress.
Sharing her views on senior artists resuming shooting, Sabitri insisted she is eagerly waiting to get back to the shooting floor. “I know that the Bombay High Court has allowed actors above 65 years to work. Then why should we be left behind? I too want to get back to work and face the camera keeping our safety in mind like others,” added the celebrated actress.
