Saurav Das is busy shooting for a film, where he plays a king for the first. Speaking about his role in the Shailik Bhaumik directorial, Burning Butterflies, Saurav told us, “I am playing a character that is larger than life for the first time. I play the king of Birsinghapore,” said the actor.
A psychological thriller, the film revolves around a couple whose car breaks down on the way while driving from Kolkata to Mahendragarh.
Then start a series of weird incidents. “The core concept of the film comes from the existential philosophical crisis. In this technology-driven 21st century our lives have become uncertain where anything can happen at any place, any moment. We are all heading towards an uncertain world where death may come at any moment. The story is told in a very nihilistic way,” Saurav added. The film also stars
Sourav Chakraborty, Deboprasad Halder, Anindya Chatterjee, Debesh Roy Chowdhury and Ritisha Ganguly.
Saurav is also part of the film, Ishkibon, where he plays a Naxalite for the first time. “The film will be shot in Jhargram and I am learning the dialect of that place,” he said.
