Kankana Chakraborty’s short film ‘Anurup’ (Mirror Image) gets a well deserved appreciation in international film circuit. Recently Sabyasachi Chakraborty who played one of the protagonists in the short won the ‘BEST ACTOR in an Indie film’ at the Los Angeles Film Awards.
And director Kankana Chakraborty can’t thank enough to the veteran actor. She wrote on her Facebook page: “Thank you Sir for saying yes to Anurup/Mirror Image Thank you for bringing life to Shyamal Chakraborty Thank you Mithu Chakraborty for everything.
SABYASACHI CHAKRABARTY won the
‘BEST ACTOR in an Indie film’ at the Los Angeles Film Awards. Congratulations team ANURUP”
‘Anurup’ beautifully narrates the story of a father and daughter who have been estranged for six long years. However, they are now poised to meet each other. What happens next forms the crux of the story. While Sabyasachi plays the father, Kankana herself essays the daughter’s role.
“I can only say I am delighted to receive this award, that too abroad. It comes as a big surprise at a time when I am about to say good bye to my acting career. It was great working with Kankana,” said an elated Sabyasachi Chakraborty.
