Veteran jhumur artiste Kuchil Mukherjee is an intergral part of the film. Says Anindya, Ill not be able to divulge much details about the film but you can say, Dida (Sabitri) plays the role of a narrator. Manoj Rungta has helped me put the project together.
Though its Anindyas debut movie, he has made telefilms earlier. Ask him if working with the legendary actress was an obvious choice and he says, Dida is my fathers aunt and as a child, I had spent a lot of time at her place. When I approached her for the role, she was indeed very surprised. About Sanjay, the director adds, Apart from being a talented musician, he also has a folk background. I wanted him to take up this film.
Sanjay too is excited about his debut as a composer. There will be darbari jhumur. For the urban sound, Rupam will be singing a rock-blues number, he says.
