The trailer of ‘Liger’ is finally out. Starring
Vijay Deverakonda and
Ananya Panday, the much-anticipated film has been in the news ever since it was announced. Directed by Ismart Shankar and Pokiri fame
Puri Jagannadh, ‘Liger’ was delayed because of the pandemic but is now finally hitting the big screens on August 25. The high-octane trailer has already created quite a lot of hype and several big names from the industry have showered love on ‘Liger’ team.
Actor Tota Roy Choudhury who now juggles between Mumbai and Kolkata for his film commitments has also heaped praise on the trailer. The seasoned actor took to his Twitter handle to share the ‘Liger’ trailer and wrote:
“This is pure adrenaline For the big screen For the big screen For the big screen your humongous hard work is visible in every frame. What a trailer!”
Meanwhile, in the trailer we can see Vijay, a kickboxer with speech impairment, getting embroiled in multiple gangster fights. While Ananya Panday plays Vijay's love interest in this action-packed film,
Ramya Krishnan will be seen as his mother. The highlight of the trailer is perhaps boxing legend
Mike Tyson, who it seems plays a negative role. The trailer follows the journey of Vijay’s character as a tea seller who eventually represents India to win the MMA title.
On the work front, Tota Roy Choudhury recently starred in a web series directed by Srijit Mukherji wherein he reprised the role of the iconic Bengali detective Feluda.
