Kaushik Sen plays the lead in Anindo Sarkar’s Triangle and the reason he said yes to the film is because of the script. “I found the story gripping and also my character, Rajdip Sen. A widower, Rajdip is a middle-aged, well-known businessman and widower. The film will show how he gets involved with Tanya Chatterjee — a television anchor. I can’t reveal the story since it is a thriller, but Rajdip’s character has a lot of shades.
At one side, we will see Rajdip as a loving husband and then, how he goes into depression after his wife passes away. Then there is a transformation in him when he slowly falls in love with Tanaya. Whether he is happy with Tanaya after marriage is something I can’t disclose now. Rajdip will also face betrayal from close friends and family — so actually the character has a graph. I really enjoy playing characters which are not flat. Rajdip is one such character,” said the actor. On the other hand, Satabdi Chakraborty, who plays Tanaya, is happy to share the screen with an actor like Kaushik Sen. “It was indeed a pleasure to work with stalwart like Babanda (Kaushik). From body language to where to look, he helped me on the sets and so did Anindoda. Tanaya was not easy character to play since she has a lot of shades. At one point, the audience will be confused whether she is good or bad,” said Satabdi. Talking about her character she said, “Tanaya is a promising, young and beautiful television anchor of a health show. In this show, she advises her audience not to drink or take drugs. But surprisingly after the show ends, she is seen partying with her friends at discoes and binging on drinks and drugs. Fortunately, she overcomes her addiction and dangerous lifestyle with help and inspiration from Rajdip. What happens to her personal and professional life is what the film is all about.”
