Suman Ghosh’s ‘Basu Poribar’ which releases this Friday, April 5, has been in the news ever since the trailer was launched. Featuring one of best ensemble casts in recent times, the much-anticipated family drama promises to deliver everything you want from a Bengali film.

Produced by Vignesh Films and inspired by a story by Irish novelist James Joyce, the film sees Soumitra Chatterjee and Aparna Sen reuniting on screen after a gap of almost 19 years. The ageless pair was last seen together in ‘Paromitar Ekdin’ (2000). While this is Suman Ghosh’s 4^th film with Soumitra, he is collaborating with Aparna Sen for the first time.
