Tamil Nadu Board Releases Half-Yearly Exam Timetable 2023 for Classes 6-12

The Department of School Education has recently released the timetable for the half-yearly examinations, catering to students from classes 6 to 12, as part of the academic year 2023-24.
The examination window for class 11 and 12 students spans from December 7 to December 22, 2023. On the other hand, students from classes 6 to 10 can anticipate their half-yearly examinations to take place from December 11 to December 21, 2023.Reports from local media sources indicate that a comprehensive approach has been taken, with the preparation of two distinct sets of question papers for students across classes 6 to 12. These question papers will be made available online one day before the exam, specifically at 2 PM.
For classes 6 to 10:
• The exams will be held from December 11 to 21, 2023.
• The timings for the exams will be from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm.
For classes 11 and 12:
• The exams will be held from December 7 to 22, 2023.
• The timings for the exams will be from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm for +1 students (11th Standard) and from 1:15 pm to 4:30 pm for +2 students (12th Standard).
The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), functioning as the State Institute of Educational Training and Research, has undertaken the responsibility of crafting both the question papers and the timetable for these half-yearly examinations.
The examination schedule is meticulously organized, commencing with the language paper examination on December 11 for classes 6 to 10. Subsequently, the exam for the optional language course is slated for December 12, followed by the English language exam on December 13. The Science examination is scheduled for December 15, and Mathematics will be examined on December 18, 2023. Furthermore, the Social Science examination is set for December 20, while the Physical Education exam will conclude the series on December 21.
