The parrot, a male, has a distinct red mark around its neck.

Shailesh Kumar who put up these posters said the parrot, named Mitthu, has been with his family for many years. He is a resident of Neel Vihar Colony in Faizabad city of the district.

Kumar, who is a student appearing for competitive recruitment exams, said Mitthu is a well trained and intelligent bird.

‘Mitthu flew out when cage was left open by mistake’
It can mimic human voices and used to greet most regular guests in the house by their names, he said.
Kumar said Mitthu flew out around 20 days ago when its cage was left open by mistake and hasn’t returned since.
