HYDERABAD: A chartered flight service company JetSetGo owned by Kanika Tekriwal, wife of Aurobindo Pharma director P Sharat Chandra Reddy, has come under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
ED deputy director Robin Gupta wrote a letter to the chairman of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) regarding the probe under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
ED recently arrested Sharat Chandra Reddy in connection with Delhi Excise Policy scam, where it was alleged that he is one of the kingpins and has bribed Rs 100 crore to politicians and officials of Delhi government.
The information was sought in October and ED is currently looking into the details of the passengers who travelled in these flights, particularly in the dates of the liquor scam where the suspects flew from Hyderabad to Delhi and vice-versa.
In the letter, ED said, "During investigation under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, it is necessary to obtain the information, documents of the company JetSetGo Aviation Services Private Limited, which provides private jet charter services."
ED has asked for the details of all the operations of the charters of this company from date of incorporation till date, details of passenger manifest in respect of such charters and details of managers of the aircrafts of the company.
JetSetGo owns a fleet of private jets and choppers and operates throughout the country, mostly in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Nagpur.
ED has been probing Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia and several officials, politicians and businessmen in the case.
Sarath Reddy is accused of running the south liquor cartel and a key link between Delhi government and Telangana politicians and liquor cartel.
