Premsagar, who was working at a bakery chain to support his family in Telangana, was planning to return home soon—not just to visit his elderly parents, but also to meet his second daughter for the first time.
Tragically, the family's long wait ended in shock and sorrow. On April 12, they were informed by relatives in Dubai that Premsagar had been killed by a colleague following a workplace dispute.
Another Telugu man from Nizamabad district, whose details are yet to be confirmed, was also reportedly killed in the same attack. The suspect is believed to be a Pakistani national employed at the same establishment.
Premsagar's younger brother Sandeep said, the murders followed a petty argument that escalated into a deadly assault. "He was killed just because he was from India. We appeal for justice and also support from the govt." Premsagar had moved to Dubai around two-and-a-half years ago after learning about a job opportunity through a relative already working there. At the time, his wife Pramila was pregnant with their second child. Their elder daughter is now nine years old. Sandeep described the attack as extremely violent. "My brother was reportedly stabbed repeatedly. Those who witnessed the incident told us that my brother pleaded with the attacker, saying he has two daughters and old parents, but he didn't stop."
Nirmal MLA Alleti Maheshwar Reddy eached out to Union ministers G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, who took up the matter with the ministry of external affairs, Soan sarpanch T Vinod Kumar said.
