Headland Sada man kills elder brother over usage of bike

Vasco: A man stabbed his elder brother to death after the latter allegedly took his bike without informing him first.
The knife attack was reported at Goa Rehabilitation Colony at Headland Sada, at Mormugao, on the eve of a Holi celebration around 11.30pm on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Shrikant Ghivari, 50. His younger brother and accused Mallikarjun, 45, was arrested by Mormugao police soon after the attack was reported.
Mormugao police said that the brothers had a heated argument over the bike. Eventually, Mallikarjun stabbed his elder brother in the stomach, chest, and hands.
The victim was taken to the Chicalim subdistrict hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Mormugao police inspector Dhiraj Devidas is investigating the case under the supervision of the deputy superintendent of police, Vasco subdivision, Gurudas Kadam.
