Mohali: The meeting of the finance and contracts committee (F&CC) of the Mohali municipal corporation was held under the chairmanship of mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu, in which development works worth around Rs 80 crore were cleared and work orders were given.
After the meeting, the mayor said that new estimates worth around Rs 50 crore were passed for various development works in Mohali, while work orders worth Rs 20 crore were also given for previously approved works.
Apart from this, the estimates given by the public health department were also passed for works worth Rs 9 crore, and this amount will be handed over to the department.
The mayor said that in this way, no corner of Mohali remains deprived of development. Estimates were also passed for the development of almost all the wards and common areas between the wards in the F&CC meeting this time.
He said these especially include the repair of all the roads of Mohali, parks, sewerage, streetlights, construction of footpaths between the parks in sectors 76 to 80, construction of paths, and all kinds of works.
He said that in the work orders given in the same way, development-related works were passed in various areas of Mohali, and these works will now be started soon. He said that for smooth water supply and solving the problem of sewage in Mohali, an estimate of Rs 9 crore was also passed by the health department.
He said the contractor will start the work within a month and complete the work within three months.
