TIRUPATI: Two spiritual events organized by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams at the sacred abode of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala drew appreciation from the visiting devotees on Saturday.
More than 500 devotees from the twin Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana took part in the Akhanda Hanuman Chalisa parayanam held at the Nada Neerajanam and at Asthana mandapam at Tirumala from 9.30am on Saturday.
The recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa will go on for 24 hours and conclude on Sunday.
TTD EO AV Dharma Reddy and former trust board member Siva Kumar and scores of devotees took part.
Meanwhile, devotees immersed themselves in an evening of divine music at the Sapthagiri Sankeerthana Gostiganam organized by the TTD at the Narayanagiri gardens at Tirumala commemorating the 520th Vardhanti of saint composer Tallapaka Annamacharya.
On the other hand, spiritual fervour marked the Pushpayagam festival observed on a grand note at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram near Tirupati on Saturday.
Meanwhile, TTD JEO V Veerabrahmam reviewed the arrangements for the ensuing annual Brahmotsavams at the Vontimitta temple in Kadapa district on Saturday.
