Watch: Russia downs 337 Ukrainian drones in 'largest' attack yet; air and rail travel disrupted

Russia's defence ministry announced Tuesday that air defences shot down 337 Ukrainian drones overnight across 10 regions, marking the largest drone attack on Russian territory in three years, according to Associated Press.
The Kursk region, bordering Ukraine, saw the highest number of drones—126—while 91 were intercepted over the Moscow region. Other affected areas included Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, and Ryazan.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed that 73 drones were targeting the Russian capital, with at least 11 shot down in the Ramensky and Domodedovo districts.
One person was killed and three injured in the Moscow region, where residential buildings and vehicles were damaged.
With over 21 million residents, Moscow and its surrounding region rank among Europe's largest metropolitan areas, alongside Istanbul.

"Today at 4am a massive drone attack began on Moscow and the Moscow region," Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov said in a post on the Telegram messaging app. "At the moment, one person is known to have died and three were injured."
The attack disrupted flights at major Moscow airports, including Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo, and Zhukovsky, as well as train services at Domodedovo station.
Authorities also reported drone interceptions in regions adjacent to Moscow, with an injury reported in Lipetsk.
The strikes coincided with Ukrainian delegation's planned meeting with top US diplomat in Saudi Arabia to discuss efforts to end war. Kyiv has not yet commented on the drone attack.
