Kirk Medas, the MTV star best known for his role on Floribama Shore, sadly passed away at 33 after battling necrotising pancreatitis and sepsis.
The reality TV star was admitted to a hospital in Miami and placed in intensive care due to complications from sepsis and necrotising pancreatitis.
In a touching tribute on social media, his close friend and co-star Aimee Hall shared the sad news. "We lost Kirk, our best friend, our brother, and our heart," Hall wrote.
Hall told a personal story about feeling connected to Kirk in his last moments. "I sensed it while I was at the beach," she said. "A dolphin kept approaching me, as if to say goodbye, before the call even came. I just knew in that moment that Kirk and I both loved the ocean and dolphins."
She also spoke about her final moments with him in the hospital. "The moment they put him on the ventilator just before the coma set in is something I will always remember. His eyes began to well up with tears as I told him I loved him. I will never forget that memory."
"I already miss his voice, his laughter, and his presence," she added. "Even though I know I'll see my best friend again eventually, the world seems a little less bright without him. I'll keep him close to my heart until then. Always."
Kirk Medas joined Floribama Shore when it started in 2017 and quickly became a fan favorite. He was often called the "glue" that held the group together during their wild adventures because of his loyalty, sense of humor, and quick wit.
Outside of TV, Kirk worked in various jobs, including entrepreneur, sports book consultant, and influencer. He often shared glimpses of his life with his longtime friend Wren Marie in Atlanta.
Fans have sent their sympathies and kind messages to his farewell Instagram post, shared on 15 April, which showed him smiling at the sunset while standing on a balcony overlooking Miami. As friends, fans, and co-stars mourn his demise, Aimee Hall’s tribute shows the close bond they shared on and off screen. Kirk Medas leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and friendship.
