Actor Vishnu Prasad passes away due to liver-related illness

Popular Malayalam actorVishnu Prasadpassed away on Thursday night following complications related to a liver condition. The actor had been undergoing medical treatment for some time and was reportedly unconscious during his final days.His demise was confirmed by actorKishor Satya through a heartfelt post on Instagram.
"Dear ones. Sad news. Vishnu Prasad passed away. He was unconscious and was under medical treatment. Condolences. May his family have the strength to bear this loss," Kishor Satya wrote.

In one of the most emotional moments during his treatment, it was revealed that Vishnu Prasad’s daughter had offered to donate a portion of her liver in a desperate attempt to save her father—a gesture that touched many hearts across the Malayalam entertainment industry.
Vishnu Prasad was best known for his powerful villain roles in Malayalam television serials and films. His commanding presence and intense performances made him a familiar face in households across Kerala. He was last seen in the popular television serial Swayamvaram, where he received much acclaim for his role as Justin.
The actor's career spanned both cinema and television. He made his film debut in the Tamil movie Kaasi, directed by Vinayan, and went on to appear in several well-known Malayalam films, including Kai Ethum Doorath, Runway, Maampazhakkaalam, Lion, Ben Johnson, and others.
In recent years, Vishnu Prasad had shifted his focus more to television, where he made a strong impact with roles in serials like Sthreepadam, Ente Mathavu, and Swayamvaram. His performances were marked by depth, intensity, and a natural flair for playing complex characters.
The actor is survived by his wife and two daughters.
