When I relocated to Mumbai a decade ago, I never wanted to do TV: Jhanak actress Chandni Sharma

Chandni Sharma, who is currently seen playing a strong role in Jhanak, shares how she never wanted to do TV. The actress, who has played important roles in Kamna and Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 shared, "I am basically from Himachal Pradesh and relocated here with Bollywood dreams around a decade ago. I had won beauty pageants and was modelling so I assumed it was normal that I would get film offers but that did not happen so I opted for TV. I am glad I easily got selected for TV and because I had to keep my kitchen running, I felt this was the best way to pursue my career. I am hearing of good casting guys now, but 10 years ago, there was no way to understand how to crack a film project. I have met a few known producers but things didn't work out."
Chandni in an earlier interview with BT shared how the trolls are getting to her and affecting her mental health at times. She said, ""Initially I ignored these faceless people online but then it was getting to me. I am playing a role and I am justified in why I am angry at my husband for falling in love with my sister. But I remember once in the show when I was hospitalised, I was undergoing surgery in real life and at that time, the trolls were commenting on how I should die and never come back to life!! I was affected because sometimes viewers go too far in abusing a person. I am just doing my job at the end of the day."
Chandni in the current track in Jhanak is shown to attract towards Siddharth, played by Piyush Sahdev. They become friends as they get to know each other for a project. On the other hand Jhanak (Hiba Nawab) is in jail and Aniruddh (Krushal Ahuja) is trying everything to get her out from jail. Arshi (Chandni Sharma) also hears Aniruddh confessing his feelings for Jhanak again in the jail and she gets angry at him. She then talks about her troubled past with Siddharth and the two go out for lunch.
