There are talks doing the rounds about how the TV show Maati Se Bandhi Dor is going off air in a month but lead actor Ankit Gupta has denied the rumours. The show started in May 2024 and has Ankit Gupta, Rutuja Bagwe and Resham Prashant playing important roles. The show revolves around two women and one man and how their lives are connected with each other.
Refuting the rumours of the show going off air, Ankit said, "I have no such information. The show is not going off air anytime in the near future. We are focussing on our work and the show has many twists and turns in the upcoming episodes. The big truth about Vyju and Rannvijay's life is yet to be revealed. So, I don't think the show will go off air soon."
In this show, Ankit plays the role of Rannvijay, who is in love with his college sweetheart Jaya (Resham Prashant) but is forced to marry her sister Vyju (Rutuja Bagwe) because the villagers force them. Eventually the marriage is kept a secret from Rannvijay's family and he marries Jaya. Currently, the track focusses on how Rannvijay wants to tell his wife Jaya about how he had to forcibly marry her sister due to age-old customs and traditions of villagers. He is also now in love with Vyju, Jaya's sister and wants to separate from his wife, who he once loved a lot. Vyju lives with Rannvijay's family because she is alone. Rannvijay is going through a lot of confusion as to how he should go ahead in his life without hurting his wife.
