Elvish Yadav's name has once again become entangled in controversy after he made a derogatory remark about Bigg Boss 18 contestant
Chum Darang. Elvish's podcast with Rajat Dalal drew attention as the two made disparaging remarks about Chum and her role in
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Gangubai Kathiawadi. The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) vehemently condemned Elvish's racist comment and summoned him.
Now,
Karan Veer Mehra, who is dating Chum Darang, has responded to the ongoing controversy caused by Elvish Yadav's remark against Chum Darang. Karan Veer was recently seen in the city, and when asked to remark on a case filed against Elvish, he said, "Bohot bura hua, aisa nahi hona chahiye thi" (Very awful. It should not have happened.)
The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women condemned Elvish Yadav for allegedly making insulting remarks about former Miss Arunachal and Bigg Boss 18 contestant Chum Darang. According to the Economics Times, APSCW chairperson Kenjum Pakam has filed a petition to the National Commission, claiming that Elvish's reported words were an affront not only to Chum but also to women in Northeast India. APSCW has requested the National Commission to take stern action against Elvish.
The incident occurred after Elvish Yadav allegedly insulted Chum Darang while speaking with Rajat Dalal. He stated, "Karan Veer was diagnosed with Covid for sure because who can like Chum? Who can have this bad taste? Chum's name is vulgar. What work has she done in Gangubai Kathiawadi."
After receiving a reaction, Rajat Dalal revealed in a video that the interaction was staged and Elvish was directed to make comments about Chum. Elvish later made a video in response to his contentious statement, saying, "I had said something about Chum." I don't care if I said it or not; I deleted it. I do not want any negativity. If someone felt uncomfortable because of what I stated, I erased that section."
Rajat's disparaging remarks against Karan Veer Mehra, Shilpa Shirodkar, Vivian Dsena, Avinash Mishra, and Eisha Singh on the same podcast sparked outrage.
