BigBasket, the online grocery platform owned by Tata Group, is offering holy water from the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela. Devotees can now purchase “Svasti Maha Kumbh Pavitra Triveni Sangam Jal,” considered sacred by Hindus, directly from BigBasket's mobile app, delivered right to their doorsteps.
The initiative aims to make the spiritually significant Triveni Sangam Jal, sourced from the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers during the auspicious Maha Kumbh period, accessible to a wider audience, particularly those unable to physically attend the religious gathering.

BigBasket assures customers that the water is authentically sourced to maintain its purity and sanctity. The product description highlights the water’s origin and its importance in Hindu rituals and beliefs.

BlinkIt Stores at Maha Kumbh


Earlier this year, quick-commerce platform Blinkit announced that it is setting up a temporary store at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj to cater to the needs of pilgrims and tourists attending the event. The announcement was made by Albinder Dhindsa, Blinkit’s CEO, via a post on X (formerly Twitter).
He said that the 100 sq. ft. store is strategically located to serve key areas, including Arail Tent City, Dome City, ITDC Luxury Camp, and Devrakh.
Apart from pooja items, milk, curd, fruits, vegetables (for personal consumption and charitable offerings), chargers, power banks, towels, blankets and bedsheets, the store will also have bottles of Triveni Sangam Jal.
“This one is a 100 sq ft store which will be delivering in Arail Tent City, Dome City, ITDC Luxury Camp, Devrakh, and other key areas of the Maha Kumbh Mela,” Dhindsa wrote on X.
“Our teams are ready to deliver specially curated assortment like pooja needs, milk, curd, fruits & vegetables (for self consumption as well as for daan), chargers, power banks, towels, blankets, bedsheets and more. We’ve also got Triveni Sangam Jal bottles in stock 🙏” the Blinkit CEO added.
