Earlier this year, quick-commerce platform Blinkit announced that it is setting up a temporary store at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj to cater to the needs of pilgrims and tourists attending the event. The announcement was made by Albinder Dhindsa, Blinkit’s CEO, via a post on X (formerly Twitter).
He said that the 100 sq. ft. store is strategically located to serve key areas, including Arail Tent City, Dome City, ITDC Luxury Camp, and Devrakh.
Apart from pooja items, milk, curd, fruits, vegetables (for personal consumption and charitable offerings), chargers, power banks, towels, blankets and bedsheets, the store will also have bottles of Triveni Sangam Jal.
“This one is a 100 sq ft store which will be delivering in Arail Tent City, Dome City, ITDC Luxury Camp, Devrakh, and other key areas of the Maha Kumbh Mela,” Dhindsa wrote on X.
