Lauren Sánchez recently took to Instagram to celebrate her 18-year-old son, Evan Whitesell, being accepted to the University of Miami. The proud mom, who is engaged to Jeff Bezos, shared her excitement, writing, "My heart is bursting. Beyond proud of you. Love you."
Whitesell, who will soon become Bezos' stepson, joins a notable student body at the university, including Kai Trump, the eldest granddaughter of President-elect Donald Trump. In August, 17-year-old Kai announced her verbal commitment to the University of Miami on Instagram. "I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Miami," she wrote, thanking her family for their unwavering support. Kai, an athlete and the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa Trump, shared her enthusiasm for this new chapter in her life.
"I would like to thank my Grandpa for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support," Kai said, in a clear nod to Donald Trump’s well-documented passion for golf. She wrapped up her heartfelt message with pride: "I am super excited to be a Cane and represent the University of Miami. Gooo Canes!"
Evan, whose father is Sánchez's ex-husband Patrick Whitesell, has openly discussed his experiences with dyslexia. Sánchez, who also faced similar challenges as a child, explained how overcoming them helped her career in journalism. She shared that Evan, diagnosed in second grade, has thrived academically despite the challenges.
