Jeff Bezos' aerospace company, Blue Origin, is set for an upcoming New Shepard rocket mission, which will feature an all-female crew. The crew includes pop star

Gayle King, and Bezos' fiancée, Lauren Sánchez. The mission, scheduled for spring 2025, marks the 11th human flight for Blue Origin's New Shepard program.
This mission, led by Lauren Sánchez, aims to inspire future generations by showcasing the potential of women in space exploration. Sánchez, who played a pivotal role in assembling the crew, expressed her excitement, stating, "This mission is about challenging perspectives of Earth, empowering women to share their stories, and creating a lasting impact."
Joining the trio are aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn, rounding out the six-member crew. The mission will take the team above the Kármán line, the internationally recognised boundary of space, offering them a unique perspective of Earth.
Gayle King shared her mixed emotions about the journey, saying, "I don’t know how to explain being terrified and excited at the same time. It’s like how I felt about to deliver a baby."
To date, the New Shepard program has flown 52 people into space, and this all-female crew represents a significant milestone since Valentina Tereshkova's solo spaceflight in 1963.
