Elon Musk has defended his stance on exiting NATO and stopping funding Ukraine. In an exchange on social media, the tech billionaire has doubled down on his position regarding NATO and Ukraine funding, suggesting a different approach to resolving the ongoing conflict.
Replying to a post that said, “Not another penny to Ukraine,” Musk responded with his own solution: place sanctions on the top 10 Ukrainian oligarchs.
“Place sanctions on the top 10 Ukrainian oligarchs, especially the ones with mansions in Monaco, and this will stop immediately. That is the key to the puzzle,” he said in a reply.
Musk accused of ‘favouring’ Russia
He was then challenged by another user who claimed that Musk has been criticising Ukraine and not Russian President
Vladimir Putin who is “the aggressor”.
“I agree, anyone engaging in corruption should be sanctioned. But also, you got to stop pretending that Putin isn't the aggressor. Ukraine is the victim. Knock it off with the nonsense. You seem focused on only criticising Ukraine but not Putin for some reason,” the person replied.
In response, the Tesla CEO said that he challenged Putin to a physical company over Ukraine.
I literally challenged Putin to one on one physical combat over Ukraine and my Starlink system is the backbone of the Ukrainian army. Their entire front line would collapse if I turned it off. What I am sickened by is years of slaughter in a stalemate that Ukraine will inevitably lose. Anyone who really cares, really thinks and really understands wants the meat grinder to stop. PEACE NOW!!In a separate post, Musk said that the US should exit NATO.
“We really should,” he said in a post.
“Doesn’t make sense for America to pay for the defense of Europe,” he added.
