introduced P-series to its smartphone portfolio in early 2024. The mid-range smartphone series aims to offer buyers powerful performance at afforable price. Realme P3 Pro 5G, the third addition to the lineup, also promises to deliver better performance than its predecessors. It features an upgraded processor and a massive battery to support its claims.
Realme P3 Pro smartphone, priced at Rs 23,999 onwards, blends aesthetics, such as a leather back cover, with practical features, like enhanced water and dust resistance.
Realme P3 Pro has a sleek and clean look

Available in multiple colours and configurations, the P3 Pro 5G promises to cater to a diverse range of users in the competitive under Rs 25,000 segment. But does it truly live up to the company’s claims?
We have been testing the 12GB+256GB variant of the Realme P3 Pro in Saturn Brown for some time now. Here’s what we think about the smartphone:

Design and display

After unboxing the Realme P3 Pro 5G, the first thing that struck us was its leather back cover. The soft, textured finish exudes a smooth, in-hand feel, making it comfortable to hold. Running fingers along the surface and scratching gave us a satisfying feel.
The phone's leather back design offers a nice touch

The phone has a wider stance with a flat build that makes it comfortable to hold. It offers a lightweight feel in the hand, as its weight seems to be well distributed. We also appreciate the other design details—the gently curved edges and the modern, circular camera island, which offer a refreshing departure from the more angular designs of previous models.
However, the circular camera module is slightly obtrusive and makes the phone wobble when placed on a hard surface. The cameras and the LED flash are aligned in a triangular shape where the flashlight is located on top and both sensors are below it.
The power buttons and volume rockers are on the right spine, while the SIM tray, USB-C charging port, and speaker grille are below. The overall build felt both robust and refined, hinting at its enhanced durability. Its impressive IP66/68/69 dust and water resistance rating makes it ready for everyday adventures.
The seemingly durable build is met with an equally impressive display. The 6.83-inch quad-curved AMOLED panel performed well during our testing.
Realme P3 Pro's screen produces sharp colours for immersive viewing

The vibrant Full HD+ resolution, combined with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, delivers an immersive experience whether scrolling through the apps or streaming videos.
The colours were vivid and popped out while watching intense action scenes in movies like Venom: Last Dance and Spider-Man: No Way Home. The screen also offered a satisfying experience while playing games like BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile. The visuals were immersive, and the touch response was dependable during action situations.
Even under bright sunlight, the display maintained excellent clarity, making every interaction a delight.

Performance and software

Coming to the phone's performance, we were impressed by how responsive the Realme P3 Pro 5G felt right out of the box.
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, made multitasking a breeze.
Whether scrolling through social media feeds, switching between multiple apps, or diving into a few gaming sessions, the device handles everything with remarkable fluidity.
The phone's interface makes it easy to navigate

Even during intensive use and long sessions of BGMI and COD, there was never a hint of lag or stutter, making everyday tasks incredibly smooth and enjoyable.
This smartphone also has an extra touch for gaming, the GT Boost technology. Realme claims that this feature optimises key aspects of mobile gaming, such as frame rate and touch accuracy while incorporating AI tools for enhanced responsiveness and control.
GT Boost maximises the P3 Pro's gaming potential by a mile. For example, when the feature got auto-enabled while playing BGMI, the game ran consistently at 90 fps without any stuttering or lag, even during intense firefights at Pochinki. The feature also suggested the best settings based on requirements like best performance or battery efficiency.
The AI touch controls noticeably improved touch response and helped us in final circles. Even, there were times when we were able to stay in fights when the Wi-Fi signal wasn’t at its strongest.
Playing BGMI on Realme P3 Pro is an exciting experience

These features offered us some serious advantages over opponents. Also, after playing four consecutive Erangal matches where we reached the final circle in all of them, the phone’s battery only dropped by around 30%.
The software experience was equally impressive. Running on Realme UI 6, based on Android 15, the interface is vibrant and intuitive.
We loved the smooth animations and easy navigation that made even complex tasks feel effortless. While there are quite a few pre-installed apps, most can be easily removed, allowing for a cleaner, more personalised setup.
Other handy features, such as the AI Writer, AI Recorder, and an in-display fingerprint sensor, added a layer of convenience to our daily routine.
Overall, the performance and software combined to create an experience that felt both powerful and user-friendly.

Camera

Talking about the phone's camera, our experience with the Realme P3 Pro 5G has been quite engaging. The primary shooter is a 50MP Sony IM896 sensor equipped with OIS, and it consistently delivers clear, decent images under good lighting. We were particularly impressed by the quick shutter response, which ensured that every fleeting moment was nicely captured.

For portraits, the additional 2MP lens helped create an average depth-of-field effect that added a slightly professional touch to the shots. However, we missed an ultra-wide lens in the phone which is becoming more common at this price range.
When it came to selfies, the 16MP Sony IMX480 sensor performed admirably, capturing natural skin tones and detailed facial features without any fuss.
We also took the time to explore the range of camera modes available through Realme UI 6—Pro mode, Panorama, Slo-mo, and Time-Lapse, among others. Each mode offered a unique way to express creativity as we captured sweeping landscapes or dynamic action shots.
Video recording was just as satisfying, with 4K at 30fps and an ultra-steady mode that kept our videos smooth and steady, even on the move.

Battery

Coming to the phone's battery, which is one of its biggest highlights, the Realme P3 Pro 5G is equipped with a robust 6000mAh battery that truly impressed us throughout the day.
The battery consistently delivers strong performance and easily carries us through the day. Even after 2-3 hours of intensive use, including scrolling social media, watching YouTube videos and light gaming we noticed only a mere 20% dip in battery levels. With moderate usage, the battery can last well up to two days.
The 80W fast charging feature also stood out as it can recharge the battery from near empty to full in under an hour, making it incredibly convenient for days when we were constantly on the move.
This rapid charging not only saved us time but also added an extra layer of reassurance about not being left stranded with a drained battery.

Verdict

To sum up, our experience with the Realme P3 Pro 5G has been quite fine. The phone boasts a sturdy, stylish design and feels lightweight in hand, while the performance remains smooth whether we are multitasking or gaming for long sessions.
The camera setup: Even without an ultra-wide option, which other competitors in this price range offer, the main camera consistently captures respectable photos.
What truly sets it apart is the massive 6000mAh battery coupled with rapid 80W fast charging—it’s a relief knowing that even after a long day of use, a quick charge brings it back to full speed in no time.
Despite a few minor quirks like a slightly cluttered OS skin and OK camera performance, the overall package delivers excellent value and reliability for anyone seeking a powerful mid-range smartphone for everyday tasks and gaming.
