Apple is set to unveil the much-awaited iPhone SE 4, marking a significant update to its budget-friendly smartphone lineup. Apple is holding a product launch event today (February 19), where they are expected to reveal a new iPhone SE. CEO Tim Cook teased the event on X (formerly Twitter), saying "Get ready to meet the newest member of the family."
This suggests a major update to Apple's budget iPhone, which hasn't seen a significant redesign in years.
While Apple hasn't released any official details, rumours and leaks point to substantial changes.
Apple iPhone SE 4: Expected features and specifications
The iPhone SE 4 is rumoured to come with several notable upgrades, including a 6.1-inch OLED display, a departure from the LCD screens of its predecessors2. The device is expected to adopt a flat-edge design similar to the iPhone 13, featuring a glass back, aluminum frame, and IP67 water and dust resistance.
Under the hood, the SE 4 may be powered by Apple's A18 chip, the same processor used in the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, along with 8GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB. Another significant upgrade could be Apple's in-house 5G modem, a first for the SE lineup.
In terms of charging, the SE 4 is expected to switch to USB-C with fast-charging support, aligning with Apple's latest devices. Battery performance is also anticipated to improve over the SE 3.
Apple is likely to equip the iPhone SE 4 with a 12 MP rear camera, enhanced with Smart HDR and Night Mode, delivering better low-light photography. The front 12 MP TrueDepth camera is expected to support high-quality FaceTime calls and 4K video recording at 60 fps.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to launch at $499 in the US, with pricing in other regions estimated at Rs 50,000 – Rs 55,000 in India, £449 in the UK, €529 in Europe, and CAD 680 in Canada.
