The developers of the game are reportedly planning to replace timers with a death counter in WOW’s Mythic+ Dungeon mode. This information comes from a recent survey sent to players to understand their interest in potential changes to the Mythic+ Dungeons mode. However, it's important to note that none of the changes will be implemented until the current season ends. This news comes as the game’s developers prepare to roll out Patch 11.0.7, which is set to release on December 17. The survey, which appeared on Reddit, includes questions about replacing the current timer system with a death counter, similar to how Delves are handled in The War Within.
Currently, Mythic+ Dungeons use timers to encourage fast and efficient gameplay, penalising players with reduced rewards for taking too long or dying too often. This potential change has generated significant interest and debate within the World of Warcraft community.
