Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream marks the first new entry in over a decade, featuring characters living life at sea with promises of bizarre dream sequences. Rhythm Heaven Groove continues the series' tradition of delightful musical challenges, set to arrive in 2026.

Witchbrook, Disney Villains Cursed Cafe, and other new innovative games on the slate
The Direct showcased an eclectic mix of innovative games. Witchbrook promises a chill co-op experience in a witch academy, while Disney Villains Cursed Cafe lets players serve drinks to notorious Disney antagonists. Shadow Labyrinth offers a dark, Metroidvania-style take on Pac-Man, and The Eternal Life of Goldman teases an mysterious action-adventure set in a dangerous archipelago.
From farming simulators like Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar to rhythm-based adventures like Rift of the Necrodancer, Nintendo is bringing titles across the genres. Everybody Golf Hot Shots promises both serious tournaments and wacky golf modes.

Virtual Game Cards and Nintendo News app announced

Perhaps most intriguingly, Nintendo introduced Virtual Game Cards, a system allowing players to virtually "eject" and "load" games between two Switch systems. Nintendo Today, a new app announced by Shigeru Miyamoto, will provide news, comics, and future Switch 2 information.
