Indian cricketer Axar Patel joyfully announced the birth of his son, Haksh Patel, on Tuesday. He shared the news on Instagram with a charming photo of his newborn son. The baby, wearing a miniature Indian cricket team jersey, is seen holding his parents' hands.
"He's still figuring out the off side from the leg, but we couldn’t wait to introduce him to all of you in blue. World, welcome Haksh Patel, India's smallest, yet biggest fan, and the most special piece of our hearts," Axar captioned the photo.
Axar Patel's name had been considered for the Indian squad in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, he was ultimately not selected.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma explained the selection decision in a press conference. He addressed the reasons behind choosing Mumbai all-rounder Tanush Kotian as a replacement for Ravichandran Ashwin.
Rohit Sharma clarified Axar's absence was due to personal commitments related to the birth of his child. The team management also considered Axar's performance in overseas matches.
Axar Patel is a valuable part of India's spin bowling attack. However, his success has been more pronounced in matches played in India.
Left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav is currently recovering from hernia surgery. This makes him unavailable for selection.
Axar Patel was also unavailable due to personal reasons and unable to travel.
