Fans slam Josh Morrissey due to Connor McDavid’s injury at the match between the Edmonton Oilers and the Winnipeg Jets
In videos that have gone viral from the match, Connor McDavid was seen getting hit by Josh Morrissey as he chased a puck into the offensive zone. Connor McDavid was seen on the bench as he looked a bit uncomfortable.
However, the Edmonton Oilers have not spoken about the injury Connor McDavid sustained during the match. But fans blame Josh Morrissey for it.
A fan took to X and wrote, “Intent to injure. Morrissey should be suspended until McDavid comes back to play”, while another fan wrote, “They called Mattias Ekholm for roughing in front of his own net but that slash to the wrist of McDavid is somehow okay? NHL refs are a Goddamned joke”.
A third fan speculated, “That’s shoulder or elbow I bet. Arm gets twisted behind his back when he tries to go by”, while another user wrote, “Suspend the a**hole”.
A fifth fan noted, “Suspension for morsissey unless if you don’t want to protect your players”.
Neither Connor McDavid nor the Winnipeg Jets’ Josh Morrissey have addressed the speculations yet.

For the time being, the Edmonton Oilers are managing without their star players as they recorded a win against the Seattle Kraken.
