MacKenzie Weegar, Calgary Flames defenseman, responded to criticism from Flames Nation podcasters, who suggested he should be traded due to his age and performance. Weegar retorted on X, accusing the podcasters of fabricating criticisms. Fans defended Weegar, highlighting his effective play and suggesting he's still in his prime. Some fans even called for his return to the Florida Panthers.

“MacKenzie Weegar is 31.�?pointed out Dean Molberg.
“That’s exactly, why not trade him? I think he is slowing down his foot speeds. He’s never been a smooth skater. He’s a grinder. You appreciate what he does. But is he Gio? Where you’re going to have eight more years of production?�?replied Flames Nation podcaster Ryan Pinder.
“Never played more than this. He’s averaging 24 a night.�?said host of the Barn Burner Podcast on the Flames Nations network Dean Molberg.

“He’s not the problem. But if you want the bottom of it out, that’s the guy you move,�?said Rhett Warrener, former ice hockey defenseman for the Calgary Flames.
Taking these words of animadversion (glossy word for ‘slam�?, Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman and alternate captain for the Calgary Flames, MacKenzie Weegar, took to his X platform and replied with a retort! Weegar’s reply was - “Sometimes when I run out of stuff to say, I just start making things up, too.�?br/>This means MacKenzie Weegar is saying that the hosts of the Flames Nation are making things up about MacKenzie Weegar - just because they don’t have anything else to say or any other topic to discuss! Just because they have run out of words, topics, or options! What a retort.
