“Would be a heck of a football coach”: Andy Reid is highly recommending Travis Kelce to pursue coaching after his NFL career ends

Travis Kelce could retire after the Super Bowl, subject to the winning or losing edge of the Kansas City Chiefs team. He runs a successful podcast with his brother Jason and enjoys a minor film career. Present coach Andy Reid believes that after retirement, the former football star has the chances of becoming more successful in an acting career too. His eventual direction is up in the air.
Travis Kelce, who will play in his fifth Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9, received endorsement from Andy Reid about his future coaching career. Reid discussed his relationship with Kelce on The Herd With Colin Cowherd, pointing out that Kelce could be a good coach.

“I know where he’s at physically and mentally, I know what he can do in games,” Reid said. “Travis would be a heck of a football coach. He’s able to get up there and explain things and teach these young guys exactly what he sees and feels… He’s got a good feel for the game.”
The career of Kelce as a player indicates that he could be an excellent successor coach, having played 17 games and caught 1,004 passes for 12,151 yards. Given the fact that many former players are returning to the NFL or college sidelines, Kelce can become one of the best coaches if he wants to.
"He's still a really good football player," Reid stated on The Pat McAfee Show. "He keeps himself in great shape, never wants to miss a rep in practice, hates coming out of the game—I mean, absolutely hates coming out of the game. I love that part of him."
“He’s a great player. He’s got guys around him that are a little bit healthier, so all of these defensive coordinators, their whole focus isn’t just on Trav and stopping Trav, and so, it frees him up a little bit,” Reid said. “He hasn’t changed anything from before. He can still do all the same things. If he’s got a couple of guys on him, then you go a different direction and have to work another area.”

Travis Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, spotted Reid's comments and responded humorously on social media. “If he needs an Oline coach I’m available,” Jason wrote on Twitter. Jason and Travis, ex-footballers from Cincinnati, are of the opinion that returning to their roots would be the best way to begin their career as coaches.
Jason and Travis Kelces are too occupied with ESPN analyst jobs, roles as hosts in late-night shows, and by trying to enter history with the Chiefs. Jason and Travis have recently inked a nine-figure deal with Amazon for their new podcast, New Heights. Besides being a coach, Travis has also ventured into the entertainment sphere with his initial TV debut as well as Happy Gilmore 2 minor appearances.

According to Reid, Kelce has not dipped in his past seasons, contrary to the rumors made. He still manages to make his presence known at crucial times as opposing defenses concentrate on trying to shut him down.
