NEW DELHI: Before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul talked about his move to the Delhi Capitals (DC) and expressed his excitement for the next season to start.
The Delhi Capitals paid Rs 14 crores to get KL Rahul. Following a bidding war between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the Delhi Capitals (DC) entered the race and acquired Rahul as their captain, opener, and wicketkeeper-batter option.
KL Rahul stated that a journey for him with the Delhi-based team begins in a video posted on DC's official media account. The 32-year-old went on to say that he is super excited.
"Hey guys, I am super happy to be joining the Delhi Capitals. A new journey begins for me with the Delhi Capitals and I am super excited. The squad looks really good. Can't wait for the season to begin and come to Delhi and play at the Kotla and entertain all of you. So see you guys there," KL Rahul told in a video shared on DC's social media handle.

Despite some concerns about his recent form, Rahul's proven IPL track record, which includes over 4,600 runs and four centuries, make him a valuable asset.
