Indian Railways cancels several trains on this route till April 26: Check full list here

Indian Railways has cancelled 29 trains to and from Jharkhand until April 26 due to infrastructure upgrades. In a recent update, Indian Railways has announced the cancellation of 29 trains to and from Jharkhand till April 26. The decision is taken because of ongoing infrastructure development and maintenance work. The cancellations are part of efforts to upgrade safety and efficiency within the railway network, particularly across the South Eastern Railway zone.
The move is temporary but will impact passengers travelling on these key routes in Jharkhand and neighbouring states. Work related to track renewal, signaling upgrades, and routine maintenance is being undertaken in divisions like Adra and Chakradharpur, prompting these service suspensions.

List of trains cancelled on the said route

Passengers are advised to note the following cancellations and plan accordingly:
Train Number 68044: Rourkela–Tata MEMU – Cancelled from April 21 to 26
Train Number 68043: Tatanagar–Rourkela MEMU – Cancelled from April 21 to 25
Train Numbers 68030/68029: Rourkela–Jharsuguda–Rourkela MEMU – Cancelled from April 21 to 26

Train Numbers 68026/68025: Rourkela–Chakradharpur–Rourkela MEMU – Cancelled from April 21 to 26
Train Numbers 18113/18114: Tata–Bilaspur–Tata Express – Cancelled from April 24 to 26
Train Numbers 18109/18110: Tatanagar–Itwari Express – Cancelled on April 25 and 26
Train Number 58659: Hatia–Rourkela Passenger – Cancelled from April 20 to 26
Train Number 58660: Rourkela–Hatia Passenger – Cancelled from April 21 to 27

Additionally, from April 21 to 26, the Kantabanji/Titlagarh–Howrah Ispat Express (Train Numbers 22862/12872) will terminate at Jharsuguda instead of completing its full route. During this time, it will operate only between Jharsuguda and Howrah.

What passengers should do

Travelers are urged to stay updated through the IRCTC website, mobile apps, or nearby railway stations for the latest announcements. Refunds will be issued as per railway norms for the cancelled services.
Though this may cause temporary disruptions, the railway authorities emphasise that the upgrades will lead to long-term benefits such as better punctuality, enhanced passenger safety, and smoother journeys.
