Priyanka Chopra's 'Bhabhi' Neelam Upadhyaya suffers from allergic reaction on skin after Haldi ceremony

On February 7, 2025, Priyanka Chopra's brother, Siddharth, tied the knot with his soulmate, Neelam Upadhyaya, surrounded by their loved ones. Prior to the wedding, the couple celebrated an intimate haldi ceremony on February 5, 2025, with Priyanka joyfully sharing that the festivities were kicking off with the "happiest haldi ceremony." However, it seems the haldi paste didn’t agree with Neelam’s skin, as she suffered a severe allergic reaction around her collarbone area, which she attributed to the pre-wedding ritual.

Neelam shared her distress on Instagram stories on February 10, 2025, revealing the alarming reaction caused by the haldi paste after being exposed to the sun. She posted a picture of her inflamed skin and captioned it, asking for remedies, noting that she had performed a patch test before the ceremony, but the paste had still caused irritation.

Siddharth and Neelam had color-coordinated in traditional yellow outfits for the ceremony, with Siddharth wearing a yellow kurta paired with black shades, while Neelam opted for a strappy blouse, skirt, and dupatta with white accessories. Priyanka, stunning in a yellow lehenga and chandbalis, also joined the celebration. The photos from the haldi ceremony were filled with love, with Neelam sharing sweet moments with her mother-in-law, Madhu Chopra, and both families together, dancing and celebrating the occasion.

It’s said that Priyanka played matchmaker in Siddharth and Neelam’s love story, as the couple met through a dating app that she had helped facilitate.
