Ballimaran Election Results 2025 Live: Delhi braces for election results

Delhi awaits the results of its elections, with anticipation building on which party’s efforts ultimately bore the fruit to form government in Delhi.

Ballimaran Election Results 2025 Live: Delhi is set to announce the results of its recent Assembly elections, with vote counting process to start with early trends at 8 am, according to ECI. Ballimaran in Central Delhi, part of the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency, is one of the key seats which might be a crucial seat in deciding the ultimate winning party. The contest in Ballimaran is fierce between major political parties: the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Indian National Congress.

Ballimaran, a general category constituency, has been a pivotal area in the Delhi Assembly elections, with a mix of political heavyweights from each of the three main parties vying for dominance. In this high-stakes contest, AAP’s Imran Hussain, who has represented the constituency since 2015, is seeking re-election. Congress has fielded veteran leader Haroon Yusuf, a five-time MLA until 2013, who previously lost to Hussain in 2015. The BJP has nominated Kamal Bagri, a municipal councillor from the Ramnagar ward, hoping to disrupt the current political order in the constituency.

Voter trends in Ballimaran reflect a shifting political landscape. In the 2020 elections, AAP dominated with a commanding 64.65% of the vote share, while the BJP’s candidate Lata trailed with 29.03%. AAP’s success in the region was part of a broader trend, with the party winning in the Delhi Assembly elections. However, the electoral history of the constituency shows a more competitive nature, as Congress had historically dominated the seat in earlier elections, securing wins in four out of the seven previous contests. The BJP, on the other hand, was the frontrunner in just one of those elections.

The constituency has a significant Muslim population, accounting for approximately 40% of the electorate, making it a decisive voting bloc. Their influence in determining the election outcome is crucial, with all three major parties attempting to secure their support. As the voter turnout in Ballimaran reached 63.9% in the 2025 elections, it represented a slight drop from the 2020 election, where the turnout had been a high of 71.58%. However, the turnout in Ballimaran was still above the overall citywide average of 60.42%, indicating continued voter engagement despite the decrease.

The election trends also highlight the evolving political dynamics in the region, as the contest between AAP, BJP, and Congress grows more intense. Ballimaran is just one of the 70 seats up for grabs in the Delhi Assembly, and the outcome here will likely play a key role in determining the next chief minister of Delhi.

The final results of the Ballimaran seat will be highly significant in determining the broader political landscape of Delhi. A win for AAP’s Imran Hussain would solidify the party’s stronghold in the constituency, continuing its dominance in the region. A victory for BJP’s Kamal Bagri could mark a shift in the political dynamics of the area, signalling a potential change in the political climate of Delhi. On the other hand, if Congress’s Haroon Yusuf emerges victorious, it could signify a resurgence for the party in the region, potentially restoring some of its previous influence. Ultimately, the results from Ballimaran will offer a key indicator of voter sentiment and political trends in Delhi, playing a crucial role in shaping the outcome of the 2025 Assembly elections.
