Mark Carney has served as the Governor of the Bank of Canada from 2008 to 2013, maneuvering the country through the 2008 financial crisis. In 2013, he established a milestone as the first non-British Governor of the Bank of England, a position he held until 2020. That year, he became the United Nations’ special envoy for climate action and finance.
