Speaking at a recent podcast,
Renu Desai, former wife of Telugu superstar
Pawan Kalyan, put to rest the ongoing rumors on social media about their son
Akira Nandan's entry into the film industry. She addressed the speculation head-on giving clarity on Akira's current interests and future plans.
In a podcast with Nikhil Vijayendra Simha, Renu shared that Akira is not involved in any capacity with Pawan Kalyan's upcoming film 'They Call Him OG,' directed by
Sujeeth. She urged fans not to believe unverified news and assured that if Akira ever decides to pursue acting, she would make an official announcement through her Instagram account.
"If it's on my Insta it is true"
She said, "I have said it 100 times and say another 100 times, if he ever decides or even thinks of acting I'll put it on my Instagram. As simple as that. If it is there on my Insta it is true."
The rumor mill had been working overtime, with reports suggesting that Akira might make his debut in 'OG' or that he was being groomed for a film launch by
Ram Charan. Renu firmly denied these claims, stating that such reports are entirely false. She humorously recounted how Akira reacts to these rumors, asking her to stop sending him articles about his supposed film debut.
She jokingly mentioned calling Akira, "When is Charan Anna calling me?" and "When are guys letting me know; what project are you working on?"
