Ram Charan and Kiara Advani starrer 'Game Changer' directed by Shankar is set to hit theatres on January 10, 2025. Recently, director Shankar shared insights about the film during an event in Dallas, USA, which sparked a reaction from filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.

He said, "I recently read this statement by Shankar sir where he said the audience's attention span has become very short because they watch reels. So, they had to keep that in mind while doing Game Changer. I don’t know what that means, and we’ll only know what he meant when we see the film."

Kashyap lamented that many directors are beginning to create films that resemble collections of reels rather than cohesive cinematic experiences.

The 'Gangs of Wasseypur' director shared that when filmmakers start prioritizing audience preferences over their artistic vision, it marks the beginning of a decline in quality. He believes that true cinema should be created with passion and conviction, rather than being tailored to the trends.
