The much-anticipated re-release of Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, starring Prabhas, has set the box office abuzz with its impressive opening day performance. The film is slated to release on March 21, 2025. The film as per Sacnilk has crossed Rs 1 crore mark for its first day and with three more days to go, the number is only expected to jump higher.

Originally released in December 2023, Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire amassed over Rs 600 crore globally, with Rs 406 crore from the Indian market. The decision to re-release the film was driven by its sustained popularity on digital platforms,which introduced the movie to a broader audience.
The advance booking trends indicated a strong resurgence of interest. Within five days of opening on March 13, over 55,000 tickets were sold on BookMyShow.
In comparison, other recent re-releases like Sanam Teri Kasam and Tumbbad achieved opening day collections of Rs 4.25 crore and Rs 1.6 crore, respectively. The response to Salaar underscores its unique position in contemporary Indian cinema
Directed by Prashanth Neel who last directed KGF series with Yash , the film features Prabhas in the titular role, alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan. With its re-release the buzz has gotten stronger the the sequel of the film which has been titled Salaar: Shouryaanga Parvam. But it is going to be a while for the film to happen as Prabhas is still busy with Raja Saab and is expected next to begin Spirit with Sandeep Reddy Vanga and also has Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD sequel in the pipeline which has names like Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan attached to it while Prashanth is caught up with Dragon starring NTR Jr in the lead.
