Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, HIT: The Third Case is a gripping crime thriller that follows SP Arjun Sarkaar, a top officer in the Homicide Intervention Team (HIT). The story revolves around Arjun’s investigation into a series of brutal murders that take him across various locations in India, including Srinagar and Visakhapatnam.
Nani delivers a powerful and intense performance as the troubled yet relentless cop. The film also features Srinidhi Shetty, Surya Sreenivas, Rao Ramesh, and Brahmaji in key roles.
The film is the third instalment in the HIT franchise and has been praised for its dark tone, intricate plot, and realistic portrayal of crime investigation.
It has been well-received by audiences, making it one of Nani’s biggest box office successes to date. Many viewers found the first half of the film engaging but somewhat slow and predictable, appreciating the setup of the investigation and character development. The romantic scenes between Nani and Srinidhi Shetty were well received. However, some felt the storyline lacked strong twists and the villain appeared less threatening compared to previous installments.
The second half, in contrast, was widely praised for its high-octane action and tense sequences, with several fans comparing the gruesome and suspenseful moments to the popular series 'Squid Game'. The film's climax and last 30 minutes were described as "whistle-worthy".
