After a promotional event in Hyderabad, the crew hosted a pre-release function in Kerala, drawing large crowds. The event saw Suriya interacting warmly with fans and the media, further building anticipation for the film's release.
Suriya warns fans against smoking at pre-release event
During the Kerala event, Suriya took a serious moment to address an important issue: smoking. He emphasized that although he is seen smoking on screen for his characters, he does not support or encourage smoking in real life. He passionately appealed to fans, especially the youth, to stay away from cigarettes. Suriya pointed out that smoking often starts casually, but once addicted, quitting becomes extremely difficult. His message was delivered with heartfelt concern, and he urged fans not to be misled by what they see in movies.

"Just one small warning," Suriya said. "I smoke only because the script demands it. Please, in your personal life, do not even think of starting. It always begins with just one puff and later traps you. It's a hard battle to quit. I strongly oppose smoking, and I will never endorse it. Respect your health, respect your future," he firmly stated, winning loud applause and admiration from the audience for his honest and responsible message.
