The much-awaited sequel 'Jailer 2,' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is quickly progressing through its various shooting schedules. After wrapping up the initial phase in Chennai, the team has now moved to Attappadi, near Coimbatore, for the next major leg of production. Superstar Rajinikanth, who leads the film, left for Coimbatore recently to join the shoot, which officially began today (Apr 11) in the scenic locales of Kerala’s border.

As per Cinema Vikatan, actress Mirnaa, who portrayed the daughter-in-law of Rajinikanth’s character Muthuvel Pandian in the original film, is said to be part of this schedule. Her return indicates a continuation of emotional threads from the first film. The surprise addition to 'Jailer 2' is actor-director SJ Suryah, who is reportedly playing a pivotal role in the film. His involvement has stirred excitement, as Suryah had once narrated a powerful story to Rajinikanth involving three distinct get-ups and a plot revolving around river water issues. Though that film never took off, sources now suggest that SJ Suryah himself expressed keen interest in joining 'Jailer 2,' marking a potential collaboration fans have long waited for.
