Actress MN Rajam’s husband and singer AL Raghavan passes away

Legendary actress MN Rajam’s husband and singer AL Raghavan passed away today early in the morning after suffering a cardiac arrest. The veteran singer who was aged 80, breathed his last around 7.30 am at a private hospital in Chennai.
AL Raghavan is fondly remembered for the song 'enkirunthaalum vazhga' in the movie 'Nenchil Oru Aalayam' in Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy's music. He started his career as a drama actor but later joined the film industry as a singer.
The veteran singer had sang comedy songs with mastery and has sung innumerable songs for the veteran comedian Nagesh. Apart from being an accomplished singer, he has produced a number of movies as well. AL Raghavan has also acted in television serials 'Alaigal' and 'Ahalya'.
