Nizam Rawther, the screenwriter of the upcoming film ‘Oru Sarkar Ulpannam’ passed away. He was 49. He breathed his last on Wednesday, March 6, morning. His death came just as the film was gearing up for its theatrical release this week, after the whole controversy surrounding its title ended.
Nizam Rawther served as a health inspector at Kadammanitta Community Health Centre in Pathanamthitta.
He has also scripted films like 'Zachariayude Garbhinikal', ‘Bombay Mittayi’, and ‘Radio’.
The sudden and untimely demise of Nizam Rawther has left the entire entertainment industry devastated.
‘Oru Sarkar Ulpannam’ was earlier titled ‘Oru Bharatha Sarkar Ulpannam’. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), however, directed the makers to remove the word ‘Bharatha’ from the title of the film to get permission for release.

Though the CBFC reportedly had no concerns over the film's title, the team was directed to remove the title to obtain a U/A certification. The team reportedly decided to go ahead with the 'Bharatha' removed, considering the financial loss that could occur. Directed by debutant TV Renjith, the film has Subish Sudhi, Shelly, Gouri G Kishan, Aju Vargheese, Vineeth Vasudev, and Jaffer Idukki in the lead roles. The film was earlier slated to release on March 1.
