Recently, Varghese addressed a fake poster trolling the film 'Bromance' circulating on social media, reaffirming its success.

Antony Varghese’ recently released action drama movie ‘Daveed’ is doing a good performance at the box office.

According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Daveed’ collected Rs 4.78 crore worldwide in just 6 days and the India net collections for this action film amount to Rs 4.12 crore. The India gross collections stand at Rs 4.78 crore and as per the early estimates, the movie has minted Rs 38 lakhs from Kerala on day 6.

‘Daveed’ opened with a decent Rs 90 lakhs from Kerala followed by Rs 80 lakhs, Rs 1.1 crore, Rs 50 lakhs, Rs 44 lakhs, and Rs 38 lakhs. Looking at the day-wise collections it seems that ‘Daveed’ is holding well at the box office.
Etimes gave a solid rating of 3.5 stars out of 5 and our review reads, “Antony was stellar as Abu, whose struggles are not easy to sympathise with while Lijomol Jose carries her role with grace, never overdoing it. Mo Ismail is convincing as Sainul Akhmadov, the formidable international boxer. Vijayaraghavan is believable as Ashan, a character inspired by real-life boxing coach Puthalath Raghavan. Child actor Jess Sweejan also delivers a convincing performance as Abu’s daughter. Despite missteps, the film is overall a worthy watch. It boasts a grand scale and commendable execution. On a concluding note, Director Govind Vishnu previously revealed that the protagonist's name, Aashiq Abu, was inspired by his favorite filmmaker, director Aashiq Abu. That makes for a funny jab at media a character reads the headline of an online article- "Did you see what director Aashiq Abu did?"”
Meanwhile, recently Antony Varghese slammed a fake poster of ‘Daveed’ circulating on social media. The poster in question trolled the film ‘Bromance’ which was also released alongside ‘Daveed’.
