When Neetu Kapoor shared Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor's unforgettable Holi celebration with a throwback picture

Amid the Holi 2025 celebrations, we dug through the internet archives and were able to find a treasure trove. There were many gems in the trove but the one that shone brightest was a memory of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor playing Holi together!
We came across a throwback picture, which was shared by Neetu Kapoor a couple of years ago, wherein she pulled out an old photograph of Rishi Kapoor celebrating Holi with friend Amitabh Bachchan. The picture highlighted how these two legendary stars shared a bond that transcended beyond ‘lights, camera, and action!’
Further, in the picture, it looked like Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan were having a gala time at the Holi party at home. This party from the picture appeared to be one of its kind, as both Rishi Kapoor and Big B looked immersed in the celebration while donning band party hats.
Several netizens believe that the picture can be from the archives of RK Studios’ famous extravagant Holi parties that were attended by the whole Bollywood back in the days. Also, it is interesting to see that Big B was so lost in the vibe of the celebration that he parked himself over a friend's shoulder, while Rishi was seen swaying to the tunes right next to him.
Sharing this beautiful memory Neetu Kapoor wrote, "Feel blessed to experience the times when HOLI was enjoyed and celebrated with colours of true love and happiness (sic)."

Amitabh Bachchan, along with Rishi and Shashi Kapoor, frequently attended parties at RK Studios. Their most prominent collaboration is considered to be in ‘Amar Akbar Anthony,’ where Amitabh and Rishi portrayed brothers. In 1976, they all appeared together again in ‘Kabhi Kabhie.’ In this film, Amitabh played Amit Malhotra, who was Rakhee's (Pooja Khanna) former partner. Shashi portrayed Rakhee's husband, Vijay Khanna, while Rishi took on the role of their son, Vicky. Neetu Kapoor was cast as Vicky’s love interest, Pinky.
