Vikrant Massey: Gulzar saab has given us the soul of Chhapaak, in the form of its title track

Vikrant Massey is ecstatic that his upcoming film Chhapaak gave him an opportunity to be associated with writer, poet and lyricist Gulzar. The actor says that he has been a fan of the living legend ever since he was a child. He remembers, “When I was a kid, my parents used to listen to the entire album of Mirza Ghalib (TV series) everyday. Mirza Ghalib se hi meri pehchaan unse hui hai.”
Vikrant, who is paired opposite Deepika Padukone in Chhapaak, says that Gulzar has contributed a lot to the film.He shares, “Gulzar saab ka iss film mein bahut hi zyada yogdaan raha hai. He has penned the lyrics and given us the soul of Chhapaak, in the form of the title track. Iss puri duniya (the subject of the film, which is based on the issue of acid attack) ko unhone kuch shabdon mein hi bayan kar diya hai.”
